Aww sweet Maddie Jane is one!! We've had an awesome year taking her pics on the Baby's First Year Plan. She is a precious little doll and has provided me with some of our fave pics ever because of that sweet cuteness she has going on! :)

Her parents ROCK and are always so so laid back and up for anything we want to do....even climbing down into ridiculousness for a sweet vintage carriage shot. ;)

There's no greater honor for us than to have a sweet babe's entire first year of documentation entrusted to us. None.

Here's a little then and now for ya!

In case you missed it on facebook (MOM) here's the "Who peed in your Cheerios?!" pic! Poor MJ was NOT loving the fact that she had Cheerios in places she didn't want Cheerios. Promise that we weren't torturing this cutie!

And one displaying the split second change in a female's emotions lol!! ;)

Of course we let big sis Abbey in on the action too.

Josslyn 1 Month / Jackson Georgia Newborn Photographer

Little Josslyn was well over the age that we photograph most of our newborns but we just couldn't turn her mom away!! She was wide awake for a good little while, but once she was out she let us get some cute shots. :) She's such a little sweetie.

Love how adorable she looks in this polar bear hat!

This next one might be my top fave. So so precious!

Her mom's main goal was to get a picture of her in this turtle outfit she brought because her room is decorated in turtles. :)

Little Xan-man came back to us for a slightly chilly, but fun cupcake smashing! He's such a happy little dude and just editing his session gave me the smiles too. We're so glad that we got to do his newborn pics and then one year session too!

I'm thinking he had a great time digging into those cupcakes. :0

I loved his custom made ONE shirt! So cute.

The ONLY time in your life where you won't get picked on for eating a cupcake in each hand lol.

Most def one of my faves. Well actually the next one and the next one after that are faves too, hee!

Clara 3 Months...with some Bethany too! ;) / Atlanta Georgia Photographer

Little Clara was NOT feeling it for her three month session so we had to do a reschedule...she didn't 100% love it on the reschedule either---but between the two, we got some smiles and sweet expressions! :) She's such a cute little chunky monkey and we can't wait to see her grow up....hopefully very slowly. Love her!

A fave for sure...

We styled this session to be in Clara's color scheme---(yes she has a color scheme---everyone should be so lucky as to have their own, lol) but to look similar to big sister Bethany's 3 month pics (who had her own color scheme too...come on people!!) ;)

OBVIOUSLY given their similarities in appearance and the photos---I have to show some comparison shots! Just for fun---it's not like we'll be "comparing" them or anything. Big thanks to Leverett who made these hats super fast for me so they'd match!

Here are both of them when they were playing the "sad monkeys." I LOVE how little sister Clara throws in the added flair of the finger in her mouth. Top notch gov-nor, top notch. Yep, I said that in British.

Could this be a very happy monkey?! I do believe it is. :)

And now to the "Mama Said Knock You Out" look...

I believe Bethany takes the gold in this one for her added flair of the bottom lip sucked in as if to say she truly means business--though that little smile gleam doesn't help her believability.

Our original little nugget is now a big two year old---she got in on some photo taking action this time too! Love this kid!

Dane 10 Days / McDonough Georgia Newborn Photographer

Sweet Dane was our very first newborn of 2012, holla!! He was so so good to us...he didn't even poop until right after his mama put his diaper back on. How considerate is that?! He brought along super sweet big sister Ava and we were able to get some of the sweetest sibling shots ever! Mom and Dad are incredibly laid back parents that said they'd like whatever we did and they just chilled out while we did our thing. Dad even got the enjoyment of being the one to watch Beauty and the Beast with Ava on the sofa lol! ;)

Dane's Mom and Dad are super duper baseball/softball fans/players---so this photo was a must!

You MUST check out PeetiePie on etsy---owned by the fabulous Stephanie who is an awesome client friend of ours. We are SO stoked to be working alongside her to showcase her stellar work. She is radical and makes awesome photography props, hats, etc...and gives to charity. Big puffy heart! This hat is one of hers! She is bringing us something this weekend and MAN OH MAN I'm about to fall out from anticipation of getting to use it. Eek!

And the best surprise we've gotten...maybe ever...the MonkeyBean beanie she created in our honor!! Say WHAT?! Yes, we were flattered, honored, stoked, enamoured...all of the above.

So so sweet.

Mallorie 6 Months / Middle Georgia Baby Photographer

First Session of 2012 woohoo! :) Also the first session that I came thiiiiissss close to totally letting slip my mind! It wasn't that I wasn't super excited to shoot our first session of 2012...it's just after having weeks off and getting back into other routines, that it somehow just slipped my mind. Thank GOODNESS Mallorie's mom texted me that she was on the way or we would've proceeded with our chiropractor appointments we had made thinking we didn't have anything going on that evening. Goofs!

It was a little chilly and Mallorie wasn't 100% feeling it, so we had to be quick--but I think we got some cute ones! :)

She was happy for a split second in the flower pot....and then she wasn't! ;)

A Look Back At 2011...it was a great one! :)

2011 was so RAD with about 165ish sessions, (WHEW!)...that I had to break the end of year video into two this time! The pics just flew by way too fast when they were all in one. Every session we did this year is represented---the first half of the year in video number one and second half in video number two (imagine that lol!)

Yes, we are tired from the year----I won't even attempt to count up how many pictures I edited or how many hours we spent on MonkeyBean...I don't think it's wrong to say we are tired--as long as you know that as well as feeling tired, we also feel incredibly awesome and blessed to have had enough sessions to make us tired. :) It was a super awesome year. We can't even begin to describe how cool it is for someone to trust us with their memories...for someone to possibly forego other things they could purchase---in order to get pictures made with us. It's a true honor and one that we will never take lightly. We hope you know how personal it is to us. My fave movie of all time--You've Got Mail--has a quote--"It's not personal, it's business." Not the case with this business. It's personal, it's not business. The exchange of money, the taxes, all the etc...is the least of it for us. The connections, the friendships, the freezing of memories, the ART of this is personal, and it's often the messiest part and our favorite part. It's amazing.

Thank YOU for making 2011 rock. We dig ya and we really love when you dig us back. :)

Emily 12 Days New / Our last session of 2011!!

Miracle baby...is that what I should call Emily?! This precious little nugget belongs to good friends of ours and has been in the making for years. Just when her sweet parents (yep, I just called Bud sweet---CRAZY, I know) thought that she was never going to happen---POOF--there she was! :) Of course POOF is a lot easier than it all really went for them....but now that she's here and is what makes their world turn, all that yucky stuff and bad times they had are probably a distant memory. Now after all---Bud has to hold back the puke as he changes her stellar diapers. ;) Talk about having someone wrapped---from his facebook statuses alone, we instantly saw this precious girl TOTALLY WRAP this daddy! Love it. He stands no chance with two ladies (make that three---including the four-legged first child Maggie) in the house. Love it.

Perhaps one of the most radical MBP newborn pics ever, thanks for working it out for us Emily!

I like mixing in some pure, simple shots that focus just on all that newborn goodness--along with the fun hats and props---it's the perfect mixture to me. I think newborn sessions should always be about all that newborn goodness that goes away so quickly!

I love this little chunky big toe! :)

Mason is One! / McDonough Georgia Children's Photographer

Sweet little Mason wasn't our first session of 2011 but was number two---so it was pretty cool that he was also our next to last session of 2011. He was however our first newborn of 2011 and I remember falling in love with him instantly. That chub, squishy wrinkles, gorgeous skin tone and sweet smiles---he had us both at first CLICK. Love us some Mason. He is one of the happiest, most charming little men I've ever met. He's got some seriously lucky people. :) And we are seriously lucky that they were referred to us and stuck with us for the Baby's First Year Plan. With some sadness, here is Mason's final pics for the year...but happiness that we'll hopefully see more of this little dude in the future!

After this shot, he had Cheerios stuck in places that people should probably never have Cheerios stuck! ;) Hope he finds some good humor in that one day, lol!

He was pretty stoked about this prop, to say the least!

That expression on the left, that right there is why I love Mr. Mason!

There's a story behind us getting this log...and I'm not sharing it lol...but trust me on the fact that it's a funny one that involves some dedicated, great friends of ours! ;)

Goodness...just goodness. That's a lot of sweetness in one little person.
